Sleep In The Sunshine

For a long time I couldn’t bring myself to listen to music, it was too easy to identify with all the broken hearted lyrics. Then I found my iPod, put the earphones in, and started to mess around. Turns out I was hearing the wrong stuff. I missed the powerful, the uplifting, the music that made me want to sing along, breathless whilst running, or in the middle of a silent library. I found the music that makes me feel powerful, hopeful. It’s a nice change from wanting to drive into a roadside tree. So here’s to all the songs that make us smile, even when we thought it was impossible.
